Wire Mesh cage
I was going to make a larger cage for my water dragon, with 3 sides wood,(the bottom wood) and the front and top, wire mesh. Is it OK to use the wire or will he get hurt?

if this is an asian dragon the mesh will not keep in proper humidity. The aussies do fine in those cages however. Also with a wood bottom the high moisture of the proper substrate would kill the wood

woooden floors are fine in high humidity as long as they are well primed and painted in an industrial single part epoxy paint or 2 part epoxies be warned the paint must be dried aired and washed very very well to remove all residues and vapors.

not just high humidity---your talking about moist to lightly wetted substrate being directly on top...I just keep there are different waterproof choices for the bottom
