i saw these things mate maybe a month and a half ago. nothing came of it. so i saw them going at it again last night. fingers are crossed.

Are you sure that second one is a female?
Looks suspiciously male to me.
I've seen dozens of C.collaris when herping , and I've never seen a female with that much color.

am i sure? no. i thought the first on was a female and the second one male. but based on what i observed in the mating, i assume the brighter colored one is a female. and i have seen pics of certain locales where the female is brighter. but no, i don't know for sure.
had them around a year.

i actually got them from the local petstore (don't shoot me!). i think they ripped me one on the price.  and for a long time they were not handlable. but they are way calmer now. i like them more everyday.

Hey that's the truth with most lizards...not handlable then they calm down. Beardies seem to be the only consistantly mellow lizards from day one---and tegus too.
Prices are always crazy at petstores too---I saw a snake for $80 (corn) that I got for $25......

yeah. i paid 60 bucks a piece for these. pretty steep. but it is all good. i really enjoy them.
uromastyx are really calm, too.  malis, anyway.
