heh the first snake I ever "bought" was a green anaconda....but I sold him after 7 or 8 months. I'll gladly pick up another and keep him for the first 12 feet if you will keep him for the next 12 or so.....to how ever big he gets.

"Is that an anaconda in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"
"Why thank you. Yes, IT is an anaconda."

That movie was Barf O Rama!!
I wouldn't mind keeping a Yellow Anaconda just to say I have one.
I like one of the previous posts about the Sir Mix A Lot singing about an Anaconda.
That is a good song.

Snakes, they are not just for handing out fruit anymore.

I have a 20 gallon long tank, and I want to get something nice to keep in there. And something that can impress my friends. Is a green conda a good choice?

What's a good price for a yellow conda? I may consider getting one of those in the future. I'd never get a green. I don't think I'd want a giant aquatic boa with a terrible temper.

A good price for a yellow is around 80.00.
I know of a guy close to where I live that I can get one.
I have a yellow, she is about 6 feet now. She is a corker!!!
Lenght of these guys: Yellows rarely exceed 12 feet
Greens up to 25' 30' is rare. (in captivity)

Kenneth -- you've probably looked into this, but a yellow anaconda is still a twelve foot aquatic boa with an attitude. The couple I've met, even the "tame" ones, have been downright pissy.
If I were to get a female to go with Sir Mixalot, it would have to be called "Buns, Hon."

Larger anacondas tend to be neglected as far as handling goes. I would guess this would cause any snake to regress from being tame. I have always found babies easy to calm down and can't remember right off of ever even being bitten by one. stew1 (Josh) has a baby green anaconda at his shop...I just took pics of it for their website and should have never touched it...now I want one hehehe but not a green...a yellow male is all I would be interested in.

I've never been biten by a boid. Not yet, at least. The boas and pythons I met are all very sweet. My ball pythons, redtails, and burm(even since the burm is little) are all very tame. The meanest snake I've ever had was a Chinese corn snake(I still don't know what the heck is this guy, but it's kicking and screaming). It could bite me twice in a second every time I move my hand close. Like its head was an automatic weapon.

Ouch!!! That must be painful. Did you try to kiss that snake. Now, that's called "kiss of the dragon", ya know.
