Re: Rosy boa or corn snake?
The only rosy I've had contact with was hands down the sweetest snake I've ever dealt with. She did bite me once, but it was entirely my own fault as I decided to fling all my snake knowledge out the window and reached in to get her out of the feeding tub about 30 seconds after I'd finished feeding her. Didn't seem too complicated or difficult care wise either, she was in my care for about a year and never had a single problem with feeding, regurging, shedding, nothing. Corns are ok but I've just never been big on Colubrids. Although I have to say there is a mind boggling array of morphs out there.

I like the way you think! Though I doubt my dad will go for it. He can barely take care of himself!

If only I had the space for that... It'll be interesting fitting another tank in my room somehow!

Re: Rosy boa or corn snake?
I have two great plains rat snakes, which are the same as cons just not colorfull, but i love the temperament of boas much more. Corn although not aggressive and rarely every bite just act like they hate you. The always just pick a direction and try to get away. And they get jumpy even if they never bite. But boas on the other hand like climing on you like a human jungle gym and they just seem like the enjoy being held more than corns wheather they do or not i have no idea. I just got a BCI and have held bciS, BCCs, Rainbows, Durmerils but not rosys but i would imagine the have similar personalities.

Re: Rosy boa or corn snake?
I have a 4 ft + albino corn. He wasn't even close to my first snake but i loved the way he looks. He is easy to care for, has never tried to bite, never turns down a meal and is very active. The only down side to a very active snake like a corn is they deficate more often then boas and pythons. My ball may deficate once a week, my bloods once a month and my corn two to three times a week. I say get whatever catches your eye and you feel you can take care of for at least 10 years because these animals can live for a very long time.
