happy but bummed
today was feeding day for my rainbow. as i go to take her out, i see she is in blue!!!!! thats the happy part. its telling me shes growing and her tub must be setup right for her to be shedding after a meal a week ago. i think shell shed within the next couple days..but the bum part...i was looking forward to feeding her all week!!!! so im kinda bummed i have to wait another week..o well.

Yeah my BCI likes to get me that way too. I can't keep him on a steady feeding regime. It started out every other feeding he was in blue. Now that he is on larger food, it's about every other to every third feeding, lol. I learned along time ago to check him before I decide to thaw out his food. |

i had just started thawing the mouse a minute before, so it really wasnt even close to thawed, so i just threw it back in the freezer

i got bit by the little bitty BRB at work last week... missed the fuzzie and thought my fingers looked close enough... o.O and the little bugger didnt let go either..
owchies.
sorry she's in blue buddy, but wait until she sheds, her colors will be amazing!

she might eat while in blue...there is no problem with that, they just arent as likely to take...at least she didnt make you wait for her to shed haha

haha. i called the breeder and he said rainbows skin is more sensitive when its developing, so he said not t ofeed her. i got a glimpse of her this morning and its starting to come off!!! my question now is this, ive only fed her one meal, but it was on a friday, so im trying to make feeding day friday, so should i wait till friday to feed or a day after she sheds?

you can feed her right after...you should give her a day though to let the new skin sorta set lol. I used to try and have a designated feeding day, but due to shedding, it became imopossible
