I've seen them for $450 online, I'm sure you can find them cheaper than that though. Here's a generic care sheet I found. http://www.geocities.com/fireclawdea...e/boacare.html
Looks like you care for it just like a BCI. Hope this helps.

Ah yes, B. c. longicauda, aka Peruvian long-tailed boa, aka Peruvian black-tailed boa, aka Tumbes boa.
Price will depend on bloodline, as well as the time of year. Right now, longi's are few and far between, so the prices are going to be a bit higher. Early in the season, they can be had for as little as $250.
As juveniles, they can be a bit more "delicate" than BCI. In my experience, they need to be raised in a manner similar to BCC- with a little more care taken to prevent regurgitations.

Yes when is early in the season? I've heard baby boas usually come out in july or oct.
Is that what you mean?

Re: boa c. longicauda? (peruvian long-tailed boa)
I have a male longicauda, I know a guy who breeds them and I have his card somewhere. He's even produced a hypermalenistic anerytheristic longi. He's definitely a genius with this specific species. When I find his number I'll try and post it, he also hangs out on kingsnake.com and goes to the N.A.R.B.C. shows all the time. (I got mine at the Tinley Park IL show from him last year) I'm VERY satisfied and everyone who gets from him is too. Great breeder

Re: boa c. longicauda? (peruvian long-tailed boa)
Well I'm obviously new to this thing. But just because a thread is old doesn't mean they ever received the help they needed. Yes, 7 years is a long time, but I haven't met very many longi breeders So just in case my help was needed, I gave it.

Yes, very old thread, but hey old threads need love too, lol.
Anyways, I have Darla, which is my little baby female BCL(size=she eats small rat pups). I will try to get some pics up just for you Tammy. It will be when I get home tonight though as I am at work right now.

A couple days ago. I was hesitant to get her out because it kind of looked like she still had a lump(odd because I feed her food items that are not bigger than her body). But, when I reached in and she stretched out it looked like it was just the way she was laying. But you are right, she does look kind of plump. Maybe she is just holding in a nice stinky surprise for me. According to my log book she hasn't pooped in a while.
