Re: how long should CHE be on?
you want to try to maintain temps in the desired range (roughtly 75-90) with a heat gradient in the cage. As long as this is good at all times, it doesn't matter if a che is on all the time. You might want to use a dimmer or thermostat

Re: how long should CHE be on?
I have mine on all the time because my room doesn't have it's own thermostat. At night, it just gets colder in my room so the temperature inside my boa's enclosure dips a few degrees as well.

Re: how long should CHE be on?
it will be on a therm, and just a quick fyi mhartman, 90 will kill a brb, temps should never go about 84-85. ok, so its safe to say just to leave it on 24/7. that works for me

Re: how long should CHE be on?
I keep mine on 24/7 on a thermostat. At night I turn it down a few degrees.

Re: how long should CHE be on?
The one thing I'd be careful about with a CHE and a BRB is humidity. CHE's can really dry out a tank. And if you are getting a neonate, your humidity pretty much needs to be at 100%.
