juv green anaconda
how long could a juvinile anaconda stay in a 40 gallon breeder tank.whats their rate of growth.also is it necessary to take the water bowl out the cage a couple day every two weeks so it wont get a bacteria infection.I have been intrested in this species for a while now.

Re: juv green anaconda
I don't know a ton about 'condas, but I can tell you it wouldnt last entirely too long in a 40gal. Maybe a year or so. However, a lot of thought must go into owning a snake that large. Are you prepared to handle it when it's full grown? that's a lot of snake...
have you ever worked with giants?

Re: juv green anaconda
There are no hard and fast rules. Frequent handling helps, but it isn't a guarantee that you efforts will pay off. Some animals of the same species are just more tolerant of human interaction than others. Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.

Re: juv green anaconda
A 40 gallon breeder? Are you serious? You're not ready. Start small and work your way up.

Re: juv green anaconda
i dont think a 40 gal would work because this snake needs pretty high humidity...it is difficult to keep in humidity with a screen top tank...have you looked at any caresheets???

Re: juv green anaconda
a 10 foot boa really can't compare to a 20 foot conda.
I say stick to smaller stuff until you've worked your way up.
