Hi,
Well my baby rainbow is thriving and really growing but the one thing ive noticed is they seem to digest food really fast. I ve raise Guyana,Argentine, BCI, And a hog island, but this little Rainbow can slurp down a fuzzy rat on Monday and look empty on friday, geeze-wizz
Its so cute though.... They seem to like a slighly large food item than you would think, had her a couple weeks and she's downing a fuzzie rat pup every 4 -5 days..
I'll be glad when this growth spirt is over..
Doug

From all I've seen and read BRBs do tend to be eating machines, especially when young. Our little girl is the same way and eats every 5 or so days for the time being..

They do tend to be eating machines so to say ..BUT from what I was told by a breeder of these snakes.. It is not reccomended to ever feed them more than 1 prey item at a feeding..no matter what. So I never have with them. On the other hand YES this specific snake does NOT follow the normal girth ruling and actually feeds upon prey slightly larger than it's girth is by the normal rules for such.
