excess skin on my BRB..im worried

I just got this guy 2 days ago. I love him. I am worried about the excess skin that he has around his neck. Is this normal? He is eat a fuzzy mouse yesterday and digested it fine. His temps are around 84 on the hot side and high 70s on the cool. The humidity is right between 70 and 80 %. He has hiding places and a water dish to go in. I feel like i am doing everything that i have read to do. I am just worried about the guy. If anyone has any thoughts please help. Thanks

sorry the quality is bad. HOpe you guys can see what i am talkin about.

Relax and let him settle in a bit. Where did you get him from? I can't tell much from the pix.

fuzzy mice are too small and the snake is a bit too thin...probably from eating fuzzy mice . At birth, they start out on pink rats. It's hard to tell how big he is from the photos. but whatever you are feeding (preferably rats, not mice) Must be a little larger than the snake's widest girth or it's not enough. They can't handle more than one so don't go feeding 2 or 3 fuzzies to make up for it and don't try to rush the weight gain either. Stick to a healthy schedule of once a week for the first year, one appropriate size item and your snake will catch up and grow. If you feed more often or more per feeding, your snake will puke and possibly die.

I've noticed that the skin tends to look wrinkly behind the head before theu shed...I's bump up the prey size and the humidity....I'm sure everything's fine.

I'm sorry. I thought I was clear Your snake is burning more calories digesting fuzzy mice than he gets from them. So by feeding him what you are feeding him, you are hyperdriving his starvation. Take the dead rat and stretch it out and make a note of how big around it is. When you find one a little bigger but not too much bigger around than your snake, you have a winner. Good luck.
