About the Anaconda i held at the petstore....

Ok i went into my local petstore dont kno to much about Anacondas but the guy was scared to take it out and i took it out it was like 5 or 6ft and wack it struck at the guy lol...but then i held it and it was ok are they usally this agressive?

yes. they are very much so, however it's possible to work with a snake like that enough everyday to calm him/her down.

Yep, some can be pretty crazy snakes. Some of the time they wont even strike to bite you, while you are holding it, they will just open up and latch on.

Don't know much about Anacondas as we can't keep them here but i recently bought a Scrub Python (morelia kinghorni) which are very well know for their nasty temperaments. When i bought my scrub it was an absolute menace but with regular handling it's calmed down considerably. Although there are exceptions to the rule i think most snappy snakes will calm down with time and regular handling, they may not get to the stage of being good handlers but most will at least get to the stage of being managable.

But as i said.... there are exceptions.
