Destination: Middle of Nowhere (Pictures of me!)
Here's some pictures of me. My younger brother is in one of those. I just felt like showing some of the places I've been in my life.
And a place I hope not to be ever again LOL.
(EDIT: My brother's a dink for this picture LOL. Gotta love a brother who will sooner take a picture of you falling 10 feet than help you.)

Re: Destination: Middle of Nowhere (Pictures of me!)
Not 100% sure. I believe the one with me and my brother was on the Skyline to Sea Trail in Santa Cruz.
The forest might be Emigrant Wilderness.
The rocks are probably Desolate Wilderness.

Re: Destination: Middle of Nowhere (Pictures of me!)
No, those pictures were taken way before I knew about snakes. I sometimes see rattlers but I couldn't tell you what species. I never went looking.
I'll see if I can't get some of my pictures from my out of country travels scanned eventually. I used my manual camera for those, as the camera used on those pictures is my brother's.

Re: Destination: Middle of Nowhere (Pictures of me!)
Very neat pictures! I have a kid that will take a picture before he'd help you too! He told me..."But Mom, you HAVE to capture the moment when it's happening!"
I told him if he ever steps off the curb in front of a bus, I'm still gonna grab his shirt first! lol

Wow... great pictures!!
What state do you live in Stalk? I am so jelous!
But you would NEVER get me to that spot where you are in the first two pictures. I am just a little acrophobic. You can't get me on a ladder over 5 feet high.

I live in California East Bay but I go wherever there are mountains and woods and water, so I do some traveling out of state.
It was probably a 200 to 300 foot drop behind me in those pictures. It is scary but it's really all in the mind. You feel like you're walking on a tightrope and as such, walk like you're on a tightrope when you walk by cliffs... but nobody keeps a good center of balance. As long as you walk normally it's really easy to be by them.
Of course, don't take my word for it. I hold no responsibility for anyone doing backflips at the edge of a cliff.
