Hello all, I think I know the difference of the Red and Yellow Ackie. Thing is, where does the Giant Ackie come in? Is it just another name for the Reds or totally different. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ferdinand

Hey Ophio...I've heard of the red and yellow ackies. But, I've never heard of giant ackies. Does one color get larger than the other, or is this a different varanid species? Where did you hear about giant ackies?
Bry

Here are some pics of my new addition...

I'm going to switch him/her over to dirt soon, I hear it's the best substrate for them.
Only stuff I have is aspen.

I have read on the PE website that even better is that quartz-dirt substrate. Robin has a whole page on substrates they have been using ofr monitors over the years and he is very excited about this stuff--check out: www.proexotics.com under FAQ's.
I LOVE ackie but I have decided on either a black throat or a water...
