I have finally gotten my new monitor home. He is a juvie green tree from Ben Siegel. Tom McCarthy made him a wonderful cage that he has been exploring. A little tough getting him in it, though. As soon as I let him out of the bag, he immediately turned around and darted out of the cage! Luckily he ended up behind my son's computer, so it wasn't hard to slide it away from the wall and grab him. He was not happy, though! Can't balme him after a longer than expected flight nfrom Florida. Here's some pics of the cage in progress and him in the finished product.
My son jumped in as soon as we brought the cage in the door.
My husband found the perfect silk tree, and got a deal on it because the pot was damaged. The tree was to tall with the pot, so we removed the pot and cut the bottom of the tree flat.
Then I added a couple real plants, a branch, a pot to hide in, and some cypress mulch. I also added a sweaterbox as a pool, not shown in this picture. I may add more branches and another plant.
And here's Talyn haning out in the plants.
Thanks, Tom, for a great cage, and Ben, for a great monitor!

Can we all stand and say 'SWEET!'
The cage looks good on its own and really stands out well with all the furnishings you added!
And it looks like your son had fun with it too!

He eats mostly insects with the occasional pinky mouse. I've read they can also eat eggs. There aren't many care sheets out there, so I'm kind of playing it by ear to see what he likes the most.
