very strange find...
so I have a strange/cute/dangerous little story to tell...
yesterday I came home on my lunchbreak to check on the pets. I usually let my iguana roam free around the pet room and she always tends to bask on top of her 7ft high enclosure.
I grabbed some endive and water to throw up there for her and when I stood up on the chair to check on her, I found this:
I kinda stood there dumbfounded for a second trying to realize what I was looking at lol. somehow, my sav had managed to push open it's lid, escape it's cage, travel accross the room and up the side of the 7ft iguana cage finaly stopping to rest (and thank god peacefully!!) beside her!! they were literally sleeping when I found them, then both kinda gave me the guilty "busted" look...
I'm so glad nothing bad came of this but at the same time totally shocked by it all, maybe savs and iggys can behave together somewhat but to me it's so strange to find a 4ft aboreal herbivore hanging out with a burrowing carnivorous little sav.
just wanted to share this strange "friendship" story with you all!!

Re: very strange find...
Thank the gods nothing bad happened, Savs and Igs both can have horrible tempers with other lizards even of their own species.
That sav has some crazy color, btw.

Re: very strange find...
deffinately glad nothing bad happened! I was really surprised because my iggy can have quite the bad attitude at times (towards some people anyways) and my sav.... well his name is bitey, so yah lol. he doesn't bite me & he's not very aggresive - just always hungry
I don't know why my sav would have climbed up that cage, unless she was down and then he got crazy and escaped and followed her back up... silly lizards of mine! you're looking at the two most silly/funny pets I have! they are always giving me reasons to tell stories...

Re: very strange find...
Oh lord, when I first saw that pic I thought yet another person had just randomly found a reptile. I was starting to think they were raining from the skies, lol.
Anyway, glad nothing bad happened! The critters certainly keep you on your toes, don't they?

Re: very strange find...
Strangely enough, when Devine first opened the door to the house she thought she heard Marvin Gay's song, "Let's Get It On" playing everso softly.
very cute (albeit dangerous) picture. Glad things worked out for you there.
