monitor manicure...?

my white throat is growing like a weed, and so are her nails! I've trimmed them once before but I think I could have taken off more. I'm not sure really how much I should or could be taking off, I feel bad doing it but she didn't seem to mind at all when I did it last time. if anyone has any comfortable guidlines that would surely help! Handling her everyday is seriosly taking a toll on my wrists...

Why do you need to trim the claws? Doesn't the monitor need them to climb and dig?

You could put a rock or something similar in the enclosure to wear the claws down so they are not so sharp.

I might just try that, they are VERY sharp. wern't so much when I first got her. Or maybe my skin was just tougher...

Thats natural, Its like taking a tool they use to survive. Of coarse they dont need it to survive in a enclosure but one perk of havinga monitor is telling everyone your indeed NOT "emo" lol Tell them your monitor did it!

Plus the claws look cool instead of nubs

Buy some welders gloves at home depot or lowes for like 3 dollars.
