2 argus and 1 water

Can you find both argus? They are 3 and 3.5 feet long.

Yummy, the rat must taste good.

Re: 2 argus and 1 water

I am so jealous of you. Thanks for the post, and yes I know where to look for second the argus. Perhaps someday you can explain to snake keepers how to keep two reptiles together, even aggressive cannibalistic reptiles like monitors .

Thanks Raze! The funny thing is that I know people that keep ball pythons together all year and they breed. I don't think the experienced small time breeders will ever admit it on a forum though. HAHA

Re: 2 argus and 1 water

Love your setups man. I find it amazing too raze that monitors can live together in enclosures and get along decently well. When I have a basement in a year or two I will be getting a larger monitor

Re: 2 argus and 1 water

Thanks Ed, I hope more monitor keepers start talking to snake keepers, they really could learn a ton. I know monitor keepers who keep snakes in large cages, with huge temp gradients and keep them together, but again the care sheet cults would be furious to learn about this.

jtmoney: keeping monitors correctly will completely change the way you house other reptiles. You no longer worry about dirt impactions or bacteria in the soil. You really appreciate the reptile for what it is and help it build a strong immune system.

Hey Ed, I had a conversation with crocdoc about lace monitors eating decaying food in the wild that would kill a captive monitor if it was not introduced to it at an early age. Something to think about with your salvator, they are notorious for eating rotten decaying food. We used to leave our food in the cage for up to 3 days before we changed it and never had a problem.

Re: 2 argus and 1 water

Yeah, I keep all of my geckos on paper towel because it is very easy to clean and looking for eggs from 30 different tanks would be insane. I cant wait to get the monitors.
