Re: new to this site
Great pics Neil. You may want to put the iguana in an iguana cage not a bird cage. Green iguanas need high humidity as well, and bird cages don't hold humidity or heat well.
How big is the nile? He looks about 3-4 feet and happy to see you.

Re: new to this site
Beautiful nile . And your iguana is beautiful to . But i agree with Raz you might need to put him in a iguana cage cause they do need high humidity . But he is beautiful

Re: new to this site
the monitors are awesome!!!! but iagree with everyone else on the iguana thing, plus the cage looks way to small..a general rule for a lizard is legnth(2x legnth ofanimal) width (1x legnth of animal) arboreal height( 1.5-2x height of animal)

I guess he calls it an iguana cage because of what is in it right now.
They live in tropical conditions/rainforest like. I am getting very interested in finding our what the humidity and temps are here in Kingston Jamaica where I keep my iguanas (on my patio). They seem to be pretty healthy living out there. I cover the cages with a tarp at night (except for one end unless it is really chilly - below say 78 degrees which is not often at this time of year) and they are partially protected from the hot sun in the day by the tree the cages are under and some palm branches I keep on top of them, but they get natural direct sunlight every day unless it's rainy.
Neil, your iguana looks young from what I can see - how old and what size is he/she?
Welcome to the site!
