Argus monitors
I finally got a pair of my all time favorite monitors. I've only admired from afar until now.

Re: Argus monitors
Congrats
Are you gonna put them on a deep substrate so they can use those big ol' claws for diggling?

Yes, I have a rule in my house, that no matter who I get an animal from or where, all reptiles entering the house are quarantined and treated for mites upon arrival, no matter what. They're in their temp tank as a result.

I love it when someone get a baby argus. I think they are the most interesting monitor. You will love them. Watch your fingers at feeding time.

It's been less than 24 hours and I'm already enthralled with them. They're the most graceful, majestic looking monitors I've ever kept.

Re: Argus monitors
Congrats on the new arrivals. I hope you sign up for the biawak journals and get to know many other good monitor keepers. Developing a network of people to go to for answers is very helpful with monitors.
I wish you the best with them.

100% agree with this, lol. We have an adult at our shop thats been there since I started working there a year ago. We call him gus gus...we know he'll probably never get sold. But they are SO insanely cool! And hes deffinately an intense eater...he bit the junk out of a volunteer's finger over the summer after mistaking it for the rat he had in his other hand...thank god the kid laughed it off. By far the most interesting monitor i've ever experienced though.
Sorry, that was off topic.
Congrats seriouslythough! I'm very jealous...
