For most any reptile infection, raising the heat or at least making sure the heat is adequate will help the immune system kick in and help fight the infection. Thermoregulating in the cooler zones weakens or completely supresses the immuno functioning in reptiles. So basically he needs to be kept warm and stress free 24/7 till he gets better. This doesn't mean to leave a light shining on him all night. You have to find a way to keep him warm without taking away his day/night cycle or else stress will undo any good you are doing for him.
