A customer recently called the feed store that I work at concerned that his Savannah monitor was turning yellow. He compared the color to that of a jaundiced baby. The monitor is also more aggressive than it was when he got it. He said he doesn't have a UVB emmitting bulb and feeds primarily crickets, mouse pinks, and mealworms. The question is, is the color change an indication of illness? If so, does anyone know what kind?

Thanks in advance
Bettina

Seem's some where I read that this can happen if something is not right in the Savannah's diet but don't quote me on that? But I really think I did read it some where?? The agression could be comming from feeding in the enclosure??? a lot of Savannah's will start to look toward people as being a source for food if fed in the enclosure that's why we get our finger's bit they think they are pinky's!! Do you know how big this Savy is?? Could be something like mating behavior or something???
