I say when he can eat large crickets without a problem, pinks can be offered occasionally. As long as he will take them, insects are a good idea. I made the investment of lareg non climbing roaches and they are great. About 2"+ make them great feeders for larger lizards.

how do i know when to give him large crickets and not medium's? im sure he could eat larges now.. im just afraid that they will bite him while he sleeps.. (the crickets that is)

Offer a few at a time. I have left crix in for too long and then they lay eggs. Its not a pretty site

ill try larger crickets.. i dont think the smaller ones are filling him up.. last night i have him turkey and some egg he seemed to love it..

They will. Try and order some roaches. I ordered discoids myself due to larger size and non climbing makes them a snap to contain

Ya, I have been wating a few months for my colony to be established. I wish I would have gotten them a while before I got him. The smallest ones are like 1/4 inch I think. Thats the smallest discoids I have seen at least. No babies yet so I am hoping the baby roaches will be good for the leo
