Feeding issue!!! Stress? Please help me out
Well ever since I moved T into his new 4' by 2' cage he hasn't been eating much at all. A few mice and a couple rat fuzzies. He isn't looking weight but he seems to be getting a little bit skinny. Nothing serious but I am concerned. I figure pics may help too. I put him in there on 02-14-2006 and since then he hasn't been eating as much as usual. The basking spot is 110-120. He hasn't had hides in there for a while since he never used them but I am adding some in a minute when I get them ready. Maybe its stress or I'm thinking he could have gotten some sort of bacteria or parasite from the top soil he is on. I am going to call a vet tomarrow and see if I can get a fecal done. Since he was moved in his cage he has pooed 4 times that I know of.

.... well My guess would be that its new, big, and scary... might be a little stressed from the space, and no where to feel secure. I would still take him to the vet get him checked out.... and the fecal, its worth the cash. I dont think its the soil tho, shouldnt bother him.

Well he passed a fecal before so a fecal shouldn't be needed. I will get some more pics when I can get the camera back from my brother.

Savannahs can get over 4' but its rare. I am expecting a bit over 3' as an adult. Maybe just 3'.

I thought I posted on this yesterday but seems my post didn't work I'm sorry to hear about Tess - I hope he's eating for you now. Could be a hide thingy I know it would be with snakes (BPs anyway). Perhaps you could put some plastic plant thingies in for now? Mine enjoys hiding among those as well.
I love your pics of Tess in the other thread BTW - he's gorgeous Does he enjoy swimming? Mine seemed to first time I put him in (I'd only had him a week but he pooped then rolled in it I think). The next time he didn't seem to enjoy it at all!
