They love roaches and crickets. Pinkies are good for the bigger ones but not every day. They may eat guppies. They will eat grasshoppers

never kept timors
but generally i would think they'd prefer insects and whole prey. just offer bugs and rodents. naturally they would feed on lizards and frogs as well. but the closest thing to that you can get would be rodent. it offers the same things; bones, organs, muscle tissue, etc.
roaches are good feeder insects. they have more meat to shell ratio than mealworms and crickets. just be sure to supplement all insects.
how big is your timor? can you post pics of your set-up?

My monitor is about 11 in. I dont have pictures of the tank but it has a tree house hidding place off the ground, a tree stump for it to climb and about 2 in. of dirt. It is also a 40 gal reptile tank.

add at least another 6-8 inches of dirt and give it some things to dig under (ie- 1/2 buried logs or slate). timors are flighty and shy monitors. you are right to give them something to climb, as they can be semi-arboreal, but terretrial at the same time.
good luck. i've thought of timors, but many are wild caught so i lean more towards the austrailian dwraf monitors. get his basking spots up over 110F (air temp) and surface temps of over 120F (which can be taken with a tempgun). any internal parasites will not last long in body temps that reach those extremes. they don't like it much over 120F and with right basking temps they can get "burned out" of the monitor. just in case yours may be wild caught. there have been captive breeding done with timors, but they can be more expensive than WCs and some people will label the WCs as CBB to make an extra buck. sad but true.
timors also like high humidities, so if you are using a screen top, cover it with tin foil or a piece of wood. alot of heat and humidity gets lost through screen tops.
