Heres your picture Razaiel!!!
Here it is. I dangled a roach over head for about 5 minutes till she did it. The key was letting her get a taste of the roach first. lol Once I get my roach colony going really good I could send you some roaches. They are harder for the monitor to kill then mice so I rip there heard off first usually. Otherwise they will get chewed on for a while before they get eaten. If I can figure out how to upload videos I will get some footage of her hunting roaches.

lobster roaches are reall easy. it's just that they're climbers. so i tong feed all lobster roaches to my lizards.
i'm looking more into discoid roaches because they don't climb. but are a little harder to raise. they also have less shell than say; a hisser and with the big size that hissers have. so bigger monitors can eat 'em.

I have discoids. They haven't really been breeding yet. My house is still to cool this time of year. Even with the heat rope I can't get the temps over 80. Discoid are a non-climing roach. That is great because all you need is heat and a rubbermaid container to keep them. Besides food and water of course you just need egg cartons or toilet paper rolls.

*shudders* I hate touching the things!! Especially the big ones LOL
But Test looks happy Thanks for the offer to send me some but I guess Customs might not be too pleased (I live in the UK) We can get roaches here but there isn't such a variety of stuff. Locusts are all our lizards favorites here which is good because I don't mind handling them.
Thanks for posting the pic - he's a beautiful lizard
I'll take some later and try and get them up this evening.

Forgot where you were. lol I may try the paractice of feeding f/t roaches soon. They are supposed to be the same and its a good thing to do if your colony is too big. Thanks for the nice words

The roaches aren;t as bad as you think. The only smell they have is their food. No unplesent smells at all like crickets. They seem to be a better food for monitors since they are a good sized meal and they are good for letting them hunt there selves

Yeah - the crickets are smelly - locusts don't have a smell - I can't wait till ours is bigger so we can feed her/him the winged ones. He was so cute last night - before his bedtime I got him/her out to hold and he seems to enjoy being on human skin (like dragons do). He settled down really quickly (tired I guess) and snuggled up just under my neck and I could feel the tongue flicking in and out. What spoiled it though was once he was really relaxed and fast asleep an extra-large cricket started crawling up my arm UGH!!! I just can't stand them on me so jumped up quickly and woke him up
