can any identify this lizard
i have a friend who own a petshop and a while back he got this large monitor lizard. he bought it asa nile but i don't think it is it look like a water monitor to me

look at the nostril placement. nile are placed mi way his on has them at the front of his snout

not a juevenile for sure.it has lost all pattern.
