Savannah bite!!! Ouch
Tess bit me. lol 14" long and that much blood, I sure hope she quits biting. I may try some bitter spray on my fingers when I hold her so she will stop biting me. Who knows but either way they can bite hard!!! It doesn't look that bad but man does she hold on. I wonder how much preasure one of these can really bite with.

Ya my mongrove bit me the other day and it hurt so much. I have been bitten by some big boas but they did not hurt anywhere near this bite.

i heard for iguana's that they hate the taste of onions try that but that also may make him not want to be near your hand at all. Its worth a try if he keeps biting he may get the hint that your hand is no good.

they eventualy stop biting and then begin defecating.it's all a defense mechanism.once you get past the defecation,it will begin to trust you.
no monitor is "tame".it just tolerates you.
if it does latch on, put a bottle of rubbing alcohol to it's nose.one whiff nad it'll turn loose.

Looks like you milked your finger for all it's worth and rubbed your finger all over the sink!

lol, that was before I squeezed it. I couldn't take any pics after I milked it because my left hand had blood on it. DIdn't want a bloody camera. I just soak my finger in warm water for 5 minutes or so then put some neosporin on it. I found it doesn't hurt as much nor swell up at all if I soak my finger for a while. I miss when she used to put on a show and bite me as a baby but now, its not cute at all, It just makes me scared!!! lol
