If so how high should it be?? i know some ppl say not to soak them but i did to help him w/ his first shed..i was just wondering if i should help him... ot let it be.. thanks

Monitors stay in a constant shed, it will never stop shedding, only slow down as it gets older. Just keep feeding it and let it be.

They are always shedding, just not all at once. Usually, when they have all their visual skin off, like their back, head, etc, their shedding their bellys. Also, you can tell when they are beginning to shed their top half by the color of their skin gets darker and cloudier.

they do this because they are now adjusting to their surroundings. He'll start eating again normally in about a week or two.

I'm not all that knowledgable about Ackies, but even my monitors will often pass up food cause they aren't hungry. A cricket can walk right pass Apollo while he's basking and he couldn't care less.
Also, I'm assumming Apollos around 4-5 months old at 2.5 ft long.
