OK....first off welcome to RTB.net!
Second, ok, I'll try not to sound too harsh, and I'm not trying to, but....
You really should have read a lot before getting either of these animals. They both need specific food, caging, lighting and such. All which can be found in our care sheets forum here http://www.redtailboa.net/modules.php?name=Sections.
No, these animals CANNOT be kept together unless you want a fat burmese with a monitor in his belly or vise versa.
I just hope you are ready for a very large snake(15-20 feet and a few hundred pounds) that can take a large man on if it wanted to. And eats goats, pigs, huge rabbits and such if kept properly.
I just can't express enough to research before you buy.
Good luck!

i mean dude i dont want to be ugly either but you got one of the biggest monitors and one of the biggest pythons you can get. the burmese will reach and excess or closeto 20 feet long and can weigh up to 200 pounds and crap lik an elephant, my 2 big burms are only 8 feet and stop up the toilet completely and their only 2 years old :-/ and the savannah monitor is gunna need a lot of care and especially money to keep it healthy, happy and have good nutrition. burmese pythons are almost considered too be kept by some of the most experienced herpers. its gunna take atleast 2 people to hold the snake at every 5 feet. i dont meen to sound harsh on you or anything, but this is just a big problem we have in our society today oo many people buy snakes and lizards and dont know, anything about them period and when they get too big for the keeper they either release them or abandon them. i personally dont kno you or your reptile keeping background, but if these aree your first repiles you should have made a better choice and did ALOT more research before you purchased these fine and beautiful animals. :-/ but good luck they've given you all the info. that im sure you'll need.

ok..what did i just read? did i see someone needs help because they didnt do their homework first? why is this so hard for people who dont know what they're doing in the first place... kim n justin pretty much said everything i was gonna say...only nicer...
seriously if people in general are not prepared ahead of time to take care of these kinds of animals..do not get them in the first place....and if this seems to be "too much" work..then i suggest giving them up for adoption and find them a good home.

Hey guys I just boat an elephant and an allegator, any idias oh how to take care of them? Pet store said something about feeding them ? Hehehe. Dude my 1st snake was a ball python, and before I boat it, I spend at least a week reading stuff on the web, + while I read about them I read about other snakes like red tail boas, bermeese pythons and such. You dont know what you geting into. Maybe savanah monitor is kind of alreadight for the 1st reptyle, only thing is they eat like crazy and I had a baby one, but they get to be ~5ft. But burmeese thats like taking care of an elephant, literaly. If I wore you, go return your python and monitor, and get eather a Ball Python or a Callifornia King. Those are the best snakes to start out with. OR YOU CAN GET A COBRA OR A RATTLE SNAKE!!!

Ty nicole. since you do have them already.(And yes they both will be a handfull in the next few years)I would start by looking at a few caresheets on this site.As for your welcome im sorry it was a little rough. But,as a few people have already said you did just skip over a step are two.Fell free too ask questions im sure no matter how people feel about how you acquired these animals they will still try to help you with any problems or questions you may have.Any way welcome to rtb.(and if you have pics I wanna see them grrrrrr.)
