you can have a small ackies colony too. Go check out Proexotics.com for some monitor ideas and caging size tips. I do believe they are sold out of most animals but the caresheets and photos are great info.

You could also look into tegus, maybe. I hear they're fun, almost like puppy-dogs.

thats about right for a black throat. bigger is always better though. thats going to be plenty big enough for the better part of three years or so atleast. you could also look into argus monitors. if you have the money id take nicoles advise and look into ackies monitors though. that are very cool with awesome temperments
