Lately, my bur has seemed to eat a large meal one week(actually about 9 days)and a smaller on the next and continue this cycle. She is about 4 foot, maybe a little longer and pretty girthy. The dilemma I am facing is; should I continue to feed her every week or should I go to one meal every 2 weeks? Now, obviously I feel more comfortable when she eats each week(though it wouldn't kill her to not)but, I would hate to overfeed her. Her meals now are:

Week A: 4-5 med. rats(4-6 inches excluding tail)
Week B: 2-3 med. rats

So, give me your input guys. Thanks in advance.

I have a couple probably of similar size and I feed them 1 extra large rat each week. Sometimes a week is skipped here and there depending on whether theyve crapped or not. Hard to tell ya how to feed yours without seeing him but just go by the way they look and act.

My burms will vary alot, but remember, its easier on the snake's digestive system to have smaller meals more often than it is to get huge meals all at once. I usually feed every week or so for younger burms, giving medium sized meals - whether they've gone poo or not. For larger burms, I wait until they've fully digested each meal before giving them another one. Large bunnies have to be feel like a big old lump in the belly. =)
