I think I have a blind ball python

I think I have a blind ball python and I need some information on it. The reason I think this is because her eyes are really clouded and it stays that way all the time and it kind of looks silvery. She has been this way for a month and a half nowand it takes a good while for her to eat during feeding here lately she acts as if shes afraid of the mice. Shes feeding on small to medium mice. Any information anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

First off....welcome to the site.
But you need to get to a qualified reptile Veterinarian. You may have a serious eye infection on your hands and/or retain eye caps. Eye infections can be quite serious if left untreated.
Does it look like it is within the eye or like she is going into shed?
Can you get a picture of it?
Oh and snakes do not have good eyes, they go mostly by scent and vibration.

Good luck with her! Let us know what happens.

As far as I know its not a retained eye cap. Because I throughly check her sheds and evey on has had both eyecaps on it. So as far as that I am sure of But I never did think it could be a eye infection. Well I will be getting her to the vet as soon as I can. As for a pic I don't think that I have one of the actully eye. thanks again.

Well just a little update on my snake. Had her to the vet and he said that everything looked fine. He said that she just has dark blue tint to her eyes and shortly after bringing her home she went into shed along with two others. my little babies are growing up. Thanks for all the help.

I actually had a blind ball python. When I got him he had really bad eye infections from retained eyecaps, and with our vet, we got the infection cleared up really fast but the vet said he was almost 100% blind in both eyes. Not sure how she could tell. He got around just fine, ate good and always found his water when he wanted to soak, obviously by scent and his other sense, he also wasnt afraid of people. A little nervous when you first pick him up but other than that he was great even if he couldnt see. We lost him last fall unexpectedly though, he was at least 25years old and I haqd him for 11 of those years. The preiviouse owner had him in the family for twelve-14 years and he was an adult when they got him.

Well its been a week and my beutiful ball python Tala shed her skin and both eyecaps come off. She had a perfect shed couldn't be more happy with her right now. Her eyes cleared up to the usaul colers. As classic case of and over protective father. Thanks again.
