If had yellow, it wasn't pied but an albino. Pieds have bright white spots or areas interspersed among normal coloring. Many petstores have albinos that are they selling for exorbitant amounts of money. One store here had albino boas for $10,000... YEAH RIGHT!
Albinos aren't that rare... leucism in many animals is rare.

it may have been leucistic but leucistic is all white, but with yellow it may have been albino. A piebald will have normal coloring with large white patches.

Hi AnAcOnDaMaN,
Did the snake look like this one?
Albino Ball Python.
Or did it look like this one.
Piebald Ball Python.
This one is a Leucistic Ball Python.
Picture is from Peter Kahl Reptiles.
http://www.pkreptiles.com/
Take care,
Tom

Here is a link with a lot of Ball Python morphs.
http://www.newenglandreptile.com/ball_gallery.html
JS should love this link. Just joking JS don't get mad at me.
But you have to admit some of them are very cool looking.
