Retics store online?
Hi everybody!
I'm new here
I have a question, but first I introduce myself with my 4 wonderful reptiles: a Boa C.I., a Ball Phyton, an Iguana Iguana and a Geko.
My question is: there is some stores online for Retics?
Thanks!!

Welcome aboardDjib,
Do you mean to buy the animals, or reticulated python related clothing etc?

I mean the animals
Thanks for the site, it looks really professional.
Well, I'm in love with Retic since 1991, by a visit to Bali island.
But I think it's really hard to maintain, or isn't it TOO hard?
Thanks

Retic's are only difficult to care for because of the expense required to house and feed them. Of course, their are safety issue's that you need to deal with when keeping retic's also. You should do as much research as possible and try to gain experience with handling a few retic's from local keeper's, if that's possible. Retic's can be very active and inquisitive; they always seem to be trying to get somewhere. They are beautiful animal's and deserve respect. I keep some retic's and I honestly would say that they are my favorite species of snake. You might run into some people that will say to stay away from retic's because they are aggressive. All of my retic's are calm and have never tried to bite. They do, however, all have a strong feeding response. They do seem to have a bad reputation in early literature because of the fact that mostly all retic's that were being kept in captivity were wild caught, frightened animal's.
If you do choose to get a retic in the future, make sure you get a captive-bred baby so that you have a chance to learn its personality as it grows. Sorry for the long post..LOL. I just wanted to make sure that you get some accurate information.
Below are some really good site's for retic information..
http://newenglandreptile.com/
http://www.bobclark.com/
http://www.constrictors.com/
I've also attached some photo's of my retic's.

There are many species of python that are quite beautiful, and very easy to maintain.
If your not a verteran animal keeper with several years experience, you should probably hold off on a retic.
Too many people get them not realizing what they are truly in for.

Get it from Bob Clark if thats what you want. Research and ability to pay for feeding, housing, and general husbandry must be considered.

Another thing that falls into consideration, is your location.
If you're in the continental US, lots of places to get them, but if you are elsewhere, it would be difficult and expensive to get them from a US dealer.

I also recomend Bob Clark www.bobclark.com
or Mike Wilbanks www.constrictors.com or
newenglandreptiles.com all these guys have the best reps in the retic circles i personaly have one from two of the three bob clark and new england reptile
also these sights especially new england reptiles have good care sheets andarticles on keeping tics
it is a really good idea to go on different forums and read also you really can not just jump into retics you need to know what is involved and that goes for any animal purchase and especially the "giants" good luck with whatever you choose
