Photo of burm's vent for sexing - help please
At last Ive got a pic of my burm's vent - he/she hate's its tail being touched.
Is there a burm expert that has an idea of what sex this 9fter might be please?
It was sexed in the shop as a male along with the phrase "what sex would you like it to be". Not that it really matters, the prospect of a female would be scarey but interesting.

Very hard to tell by looking at it, probing is the only accurate way and sometimes thats not right. Just looking at it from the pic going by spur size alone, I'd say female, but then you factor in the size of the base of the tail there and I'd say male. It's just too hard to tell from pics.

You could always pay a vet to sex it, and let someone else get bit.
And like everyone else, I would guess female.

It's easier to visually distinguish sex in colubrids than with boids. Probing is the best way to get an accurate result. I have a female bull dyke corn snake that fooled Brett into thinking she was a male. He had her probed, and she was proven to be a female after all.

Looks like a male to me. See how it bulges out just past the vent? That appears to be a hemepenal bulge. Probing is the best way to know for sure but it looks male to me.
