I just got a burmese python.i am really exited with this new experience.
i thank thomasito alot.if it was not for him i would not have gotten him/her
.can annybody tel me how to see if it is a male or female because i know how but i don't see the spurs good i think maybe he/she is too small to see it write now i don't really know how old it is.but i think it is a male.

hi hottie, congrats on getting your new snake. you'll probably have to wait longer till your burm grows or probe it. I'm no expert on probing, I'm not sure if it can be safely done to small snakes. How large is your burm? You'll have to ask an expert.

But even telling sex by spurs can be tricky. I once saw an adult burm that had one spur distinctively smaller than the other. It was a male, anyway. Sometimes you can tell by the way they behave, i.e trying to seek out a mate, which is usually the job of the male snake, but like I said, I'm no expert. Wish you all the best with him/her!

Well they are 10 days old they are just babies ..there is a big dif between my male and my female my female has a larger head .. and is a lot bigger then the male ..They are both babies ..When i took thyem out of the cage they were in One of them got scared mased me ..And i saw the hemipenis .. Or however they call that .. and the other none..

thank all i am gonna post some pics of him as soon as i get my camera.and it is a male.i have him in a 40 gallon high tank.but i am making a cage now.
