Hi my Burms tank smelled fishy tonight. I don't know how else to describe the smell. It wasn't very strong but it was there. When I took her out,she had a faint smell on her. After a few minutes off of her heating pad the smell was gone. Does the heating pad somehow make the smell more potent? Im curious here. Thanks again for any input.

Heat will intensify a smell. A fishy smell makes me think of old or concentrated urine. When was the last time the cage was totally cleaned, substrate replaced and all? What sort of substrate are you using? and when did the snake potty last? Is there any pooty in the cage?
I would throw out all the substrate, thoroughly clean'disinfect the cage and bathe the snake. See if that helps.
Take care!

yeah, what she said! thats what I would do also. what kind of substrate do you use? I would replase what ever it is, and give a little snake bath. -Juggalo
