Blood Python owners, can we get some pics? :D
I'm a huge fan of blood pythons. I don't own one yet, but I'd love to see some pics if anyone would like to share!

nope, mine will curl her tail around me. They're just heavy snakes that are clumsy to hold onto. And because they're so big you have to cradle them close to you to support them or it squishes them, which can cause serious damage to their insides.
So basically, holding adult blood pythons is not easy to do.

Man those are some cool blood pythons! ! Eventually what I'd like to do is once I get my Hogg x Columbian a full size cage, I want to get a stand that has like a shelf and put another cage under there. I'd love to get a blood python.

I used to have some reds, but now only keep borneo short tails (borneo bloods). First up we got a striped ghost, next marble het ghost, fallowed by a ghost. Then we got a pic of my marble ghost and two pics of my striped borneo with super pink/salmon blushing. These are the only animal I'm working with right now. Gotta love thick snakes!

just be prepared for a grumpy snake. Captive born/bred babies are much more easy to handle and have less of an attitude but if you get an import there's a good chance it's going to be crabby.
and remember, babies you can use a hook on to take out, but you have to be careful with adults. They're squishy. And holding an angry blood python close to you while you cradle it isn't necessarily a fun idea. Their bites (when they are adults) can hurt so try to be a little more hands off with these guys as they age.

Re: Blood Python owners, can we get some pics? :D
As I keep looking back at the thread...the more & more I want a Blood Python of my own. Keri's little one is by far my favorite. I love the light coloration. What morph is s/he?

Those are some really beautiful blood pythons ya'll have. Figured I'd throw a few pics. of my one girl in the mix.

She is 1 1/2 yr. & loves to eat! She can have an attitude when she wants, & can be a sweetheart when she is in the mood. I love her both ways!
