As for his size, I am going on what the kid said. It was OBVIOUS that he had been keeping monty in the cage that we got with him, for a VERY long time, and i can't figure out why he would lie about it.
He said he fed it at parties cause people liked to watch him eat, so he would keep throwing mice in, he told us he has taken 5-6 in one evening before. The cage was tiny too, no hide, no room to move around, too small of water dish, and a flourescent light up top.

If anyone wants to see pics of him and really see that is is a burm, lol and that indeed he is small my webshots album has them Our snakes
UPDATE: Fed monty last night, going to watch him for the next few days see if he keeps rubbing, if he does (and even if he doesn't) going to do a sawyers treatment.
Does anyone have a picture of a sawyers can? I found one at walmart, and bought it, it is sorta blue, and has like 30% deet in it, wasn't sure if it was the right one, so I want to hold off on using it til i find if it was the correct one.
Anyone ever used something called i think it was natures best for mites? I got a small bottle of it at Superpetz in altoona, PA.

That's the wrong formula..
The one youi want is a green label, with 'CLOTHING' and 'TICK REPELENT'
with Permethrin as the active ingredient 0.5% .

Also, treat the cage, NOT the snake with it. Not placing the snake back in the cage for a few hours after the treatment.

Do a search on Sawyers and you will find one with 'you be the judge' in the subject line, authored by BWSmith, for pictures of the actual can you want.

As for the burms age and size, I don't doubt you as i have seen a few stunted due to bad care..

****UPDATE****
I feed monty a med (on the bigger end of medium) rat on wednesday night. No rubbing since then. He has been curled up in a corner beside the water dish, but not in it and not rubbing. I will keep watching him this weekend and give you all updates.

I looked at your pics, btw... Monty is a very pretty normal burm...

But if he is as old as they guy you got him from says, then he has been BADLY underfed.

Have fun!
