Re: Feeding Time
Yeah, rabbits are definitely way better for your snake. I cannot for the life of me get my burm to eat bunnies unfortunately

Re: Feeding Time
You probably wouldn't get as attached if they were already frozen when you got them the other thing is generally rabbits are a lot more expesive. I pay about $2 for a jumbo or colossal rat, whereas it would be about $10 for a bunny. And I have 4 or 5 snakes that could eat them. If I was able to breed them myself, maybe.

Re: Feeding Time
I'm paying $6 and $7 for jumbo rats, so I imagine rabbits would be around $15 or $20. My previous rat vendor stopped selling rats, so I'm looking for another local vendor. I prefer to have them freshly killed so I know they do not sit in the freezer too long.

Re: Feeding Time
I still get wholesale prices from when I used to work at the reptile shop, the farm is about 30 minutes out of town but they still give me wholesale. Sometimes they're not even frozen yet which is convenient.

Re: Feeding Time
I used to work at a shop and the people we bought from were nice enough to keep selling to me when I got laid off. You wouldn't know they existed unless you worked where I work so IDK what to tell ya. No one selling you retail is going to tell you where to get them wholesale. You should be able to buy in bulk online for cheaper though.

America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. – John Quincy Adams (1821)
