BP in distress
Remember the "what is this?" Thread. I went to that guys house and he went back and got that snake the same night! Fortunately the prolated sack is completely but still needs some serious attention. I pretty much bullied the snake away from him and told him that I would care for it until he bought everything that he needed. On my way to get a f/t pinky now.. the poor little guy is skin and bones. Any supplementation recommendations? I'll post some pics when I get home. I'm sooo happy that he lived. Truly a miracle.

Re: BP in distress
Here are the pictures that I promised. It looks way worse in this picture. He looks pretty good all things considered. He was friendly and very active.

Re: BP in distress
Poor baby! Some vets carry liquid supplements that you can inject into the prey. Right now I'd focus more on getting the little guy's husbandry spot on. Make sure he's got access to a lot of clean water. I'd definitely keep him on paper towels until he's fully healed. Do not handle unless you absolutely must. Minimizing stress will help a lot with healing. He probably still needs some medication so if you can get money for the vet, I'd do that. Good luck with this little guy and kudos to you for doing the right thing!

Re: BP in distress
Keep his humidity up. Paper towels are a MUST. If you have him in a glass tank, put him in a plastic bin and drill some holes for ventilation and put him away some place quiet and dark. Seriously.

Re: BP in distress
So far he's doing real good. He ate for me and is pretty lively, especially for a BP. I'm just trying to let him relax and put some weight on him. I think he's gonna pull through. It is amazing. I thought that he was a done deal. Thanks everyone for your support.
