*the following message is an expression of my frustration*
Lately, I have been trying to get a lab. burmese, but it has turned out to be quite the challenging feat. First of all, the fact that I live in ontario is important. In ontario, there are only a few major reptile breeders(3 that I know of and probably a few more). Anyways, It seems that these breeders have a rather difficult time getting labs. In fact, the one that I got my albino girl from actually LAUGHED at me - LAUGHED!!! I found this rather unbelievable considering that:
1-he breeds burms
2-he has everything else you could think of(including rattle snakes, emeralds, green tree pythons, etc. Plus all the more common snakes).
Now how am I supposed to satisfy my urge to get another burm when this is wgat I have to put up with?!?!?
And once again, he LAUGHED AT ME!!!
*the above message has been an expression of my frustration*

Hi Flood
Here is a breeder that I've heard of in Canada. I do not have any personal experience with this breeder...but I thought I would post the link so you could check it out.
Good luck in finding what you need

Umm Tdark?? You may not have noticed BUT Canada is part of another country and that would involve a whole lot to ship across the border Prolly the reason not too many breeders do such

I have snakes from all over the place... the last order was with the boaphile....
The things that suck when you order from the states is:
1:exchange rate
2:sites paperwork(takes 1mo. to 6 months)
3:shipping
4:customs charges
All of the breeders that I have talked to will ship to canada... all you have to do is ask.
The reason to stay in canada would be to support local breeders so that more people can get involved with snakes.. and that it is at least 50% cheaper than ordering from the states...

I have considered moving to the states multiple times ... due to the fact that I can make twice as much money in the states doing what I do....
But ... One thing about canada is that if you are an earth lover .. or like to spend lots of time outdoors.. It is the best place. I have moved to BC from ONT and man the amount of animals and greenery is amazing. It is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been at.

I've never been to Canada. I have noticed however that Canadian geese are nesting here now and have all but stopped migrating back up there so that tells me something. Also...I would expect people used to slipping and sliding around a frozen tundra for most of the year to be better acclimated on ice soooooooo that explains the hocky thing. I would like to come up sometime and do some fishing though...and maybe breath some clean air. That would be kinda cool.

Well, update time. Still no luck with the burm(that's how this Canada bashing thingy started), but I have been looking pretty hard and have resorted to trying to find someone who could import one quick and cheap(good luck, but it makes me feel more hopeful). Anyways, maybe a mi. breeder could get one here to me, I would hate to have it travel too long.
But as far as this Canada talk goes, be careful. Y'see, you may just anger Jean Cretien and he'll be forced to strap on his skates, come down there, and yell at you with his outrageous accent!

My chemistry teacher is Candadian. He says "zed" instead of "zee" for the letter "z" and everything. The day after the Canadian hockey team beat the U.S. hockey team in the olympics, he came in and wrote on the board
"Big Bad War Machine -- [insert U.S. score hear]
"[Some sort of wierd term for Canadians] -- [insert Canada's score here]"
and we spent the rest of the chemistry lecture talking about why U.S. hockey teams are only any good because they have players from Canada and other very cold countries. Gotta love sports obsessions.

How did this poste get from Snakes, breeders to HOCKEY????WOW! okay here's the deal I am A CANADADIAN living in the U.S. and I don't see why its so difficult to ship a snake or any other type of animal to Canada from the U.S. Its easy! And most of the breeders i've checked out online have mentioned that they would ship to Canada! Any animal that is shipped to Canada needs a clean bill of health from a certified VET, Actual shipping cost is not that much more expensive, I have shipped my Dogs, Iguanna back and forth a few times and there's no real problem. I miss Canada I miss the Toronto maple leafs, can't say to much for the Blue Jays, and i can see them when they play the mariners but they don't have HOCKEY here???!!!
And Vancouver BC is a little far to catch a game with the Canucks?? hissss.....
ANd yes its sounds better when you say "ZED" and not "ZEE"
