Hey everyone!
I'm confused, I thought blood pythons were the same as short tailed pythons. But then I went to the VPI site, and they have them as different species.. arrrgh!
*confusion taking over my brain*

Actually, the "curtus complex" was recently broken up & elevated to species status, as detailed in the following:

Blood/Short-Tailed Python Systematics

So bloods & short-taileds are actually not the same thing, just very very similar.

Thanks KLG.....

I've never thought they should be classified as a sub species....
for some reason I've almost felt insulted when Borneos were called Bloods....
why I couldn't tell ya. Seems silly but I am glad to have this reference now.

Thanks!
