whew!! first feeding :D

this is our little "problem" eater he will constrict but wont eat the rat LOL. today we finally got him to eat...it took a little while, and i had to stick the rat in his mouth, but finally he clamped down and started eating it im so happy!! poor guy was hungry, striking at us when we were taking him out of his cage LOL he should have a nice full tummy today

luckily hes not freaked out by the cam, after he started gulping it down we backed off and i was able to take pics from several feet back

Poor Isis is in blue and decided to regurge her meal I fed her a few weeks ago.

	regurgitate Throw up. Reptiles will regurge when they feel they are in danger or if they have some sort of health issue. If your reptile has regurgitated his/her food please seek help!

awh that sucks my little hypo regurged recently too, idk if you remember my post about that its been two weeks now since the last time i fed her, actually, almost 3 weeks....im getting ready to try again with a nice small meal, ive really got my fingers crossed, im scared to look in everyone's cages now, terrified that someone else will regurge

i really think it was the larger sized prey a few days later i found a poop with fur in it, that had never happened before

she will kelly soon, hopefully no longer than 2-3 weeks did you know before you bought here if they had trouble getting her to eat? or if she was being fed live before? if not, then you should have no trouble getting her to eat on her own

Yeah, I think I gave her too much to eat..
Genesis refused his pup, and I didn't want to waste it; the weanling Isis had in her belly wasn't showing at all so I went ahead and gave it to her. She ate it no problem, and maybe a week ago she regurged. She still had a massive BM, so maybe that little pup was too much for her still.

I'm sort of glad she's in blue right now, that way I have more reason to let her go without eating until she sloughs her skin.

I know this comment wasn't directed at me, but I think I'm going to have to go get a live pinky or something because my leucistic isn't touching the f/t. The lady I got him from told me she had just gotten him eating consistently on live, so.. I hope I didn't mess that up.

with mine, even if the prey is a little bit bigger than the widest part of their body, in a day or less the little bulge is always gone, its not fully digested, but you cant tell by looking at them that they just ate the day before. ive only had one instance when one of my snakes had a big bulge still 3-4 days later (it was when i first got her and i fed her the size that the breeder was feeding her, after that i downsized her meals). that time i skipped her next meal, and fed her the week after, i knew it was digested by then LOL.

yea my little hypo was on live pinks when i first got her, it took me 3 tries and 3 weeks to get her to eat f/t. she was a hungry little snake and decided to eat it lol. the first few times she ate the f/t, she was kinda hesitant, but now she doesnt care, she pounds those little rats

yea, at least with little snakes, if you feed them live pinkies, they cant really cause any physical damage to your snake. they could still have diseases and parasites and stuff, but i cant imagine a pinkie biting your snake....correct me if im wrong LOL after your new baby is settled and comfy with you and his new surroundings, you can always work on switching him over to f/t, its never too late to switch them over

Too true. I'm so excited about him I just want to see that he's full and healthy.. and not getting him to eat is bumming me out. Even though I know I can fix it.

I haven't gotten the chance to get pictures yet.. But tomorrow and Tuesday are days off for me so you can definitely be looking forward to one sometime then.
