lol, he doesnt like cats or dogs  plus those guys are big and stinky and mess up all our stuffs my sweet little innocent snakies dont do that  they are little angels LOL

Told ya, you just have to hook it into the teeth on one side, and he's good as gold.
As for worrying about him becoming suspect and not trusting handling, one thing that I started with him that I do with all my snakes(that works pretty well) is when you want to handle him, just open his cage, lift him out and handle him.
On feeding day, tap a few times on the cage before you open it, then a few more before you lower in food or pull him out to eat. Some people say snakes can't learn or be trained, but as soon as I start tapping on cages, everyone in the room comes up to the front of theirs in anticipation of food. Try it with him, he'll learn the difference between food-time handling and just pleasant handling.
I'm really glad to see he's doing well. I miss the little booger.
