Ball Python Escaped... Any suggestions?
Soooo my genius brother took my smaller ball python out, and even though he swears up and down that he made sure the tank was completely shut.. she escaped. Anything similar happen to you guys? Any suggestions for me. Here is a pic to give you an idea on how big she is. She just ate on Saturday so she won't be hungry any time soon.....

Re: Ball Python Escaped... Any suggestions?
ummm...my only suggestion is start lookin...i had a very bad experience with my BP escaping his cage...he died.. (im no ttryin to scare u here) if i was u i would start lookin everywhere...when i found my BP it was about 7 months after he escaped and he actualy crawled his way up to the top shelf in my mothers closet and burried himself in our christmas decorations...my mom was NOT happy when she took them out the next x-mas and found a curled up 5ft snake...
edit: by the way this happened when i was like 15 years old...i DONT still live with my mommy :P ...had to clear that up hehehehe
DONT GIVE UP LOOK EVERYWHERE
also if u dont think she was out long enough to get out of the room...i would keep the room on lockdown...put a towel under the door and keep all windows closed

Re: Ball Python Escaped... Any suggestions?
its probably still in the same room very close to its enclosure. they dont usually travel too far. try dark, tight and/or warm spots. under a couch or hidden in between pillows, or behind a cabinet for example. when one of my little albino balls escaped last year i found it hiding under the couch about 3 feet away from its enclosure.
good luck! keep us updated.

If that's a real castle, finding him should be a cinch. Just follow the villagers with the pitchforks and torches.
Yeah, basically, keep looking. And get a new brother.

Re: Ball Python Escaped... Any suggestions?
Ok. I am at work right now, my kids called me and told me about it. I have told them to pretty much do the same thing. Look everywhere and keep the doors shut tight. I hope we find her... there will be a serious snake hunt in my house this evening!

Re: Ball Python Escaped... Any suggestions?
my bp has escaped in the pet room a few times (which is sealed so it's not a huge panic if it happens...) but I found him in the following places, in the top part of our baseboard heaters, there was a little rim above the inactive vents and he was in it. we also found him in the top of the petroom closet in a box full of empty boxes, as well as in the bottom behind an old computer monitor. good luck!

Re: Ball Python Escaped... Any suggestions?
our large bp escaped when my husband left her cage open...after 2 days, he found her in our bathroom, 2 rooms away, under our sink/cabinet, which was freezing! she is lucky we found her, cuz she would have froze eventually...
so...after you look in the more obvious places...look in spots you wouldn't think she'd go!
good luck
