BP morph question.
ok i am not great with the BP morphs, but the new BP i rescued looks like a pastel to me. i may be wrong, but now that he has finished shedding and has all the proper heat, temps, and humidity his yellow is very pronounced and he has 4 or 5 really yellow dots on him. i put him next to my other BP and the colors are really different. is it possible hes a regular BP with just good colors? i have some new pics of him at home i will post tonight but there are some of him in the post i made when i got him. he looks alot different now.
well i got the BURM today

Re: BP morph question.
With the pastels, it's all in the eyes. They have very light eyes that are REALLY noticeable. That's honestly the best way to tell. I've seen normals WAY brighter and yellower than some really bland pastels, but the eyes are where it's at. Here's a close-up of one of my pastels, Tigger:

Re: BP morph question.
Looks like a normal to me, too.
And no one in their right might would give a pastel away, because the initial investment(which isn't cheap) would have been lost entirely.
I find that if a person pays under 200 for anything, it tends to become "valueless" over time, if they get tired of it. Especially animals. Pastels, which are in the 350 range (usually, I haven't looked recently, but the last time I checked it was 250-450, bland male/excellent bright female) tend to fall into the other category.
The first category being, "I don't want it anymore, I'll throw it away"
The second being, "I don't want it anymore, but someone else might"
And the third being, "I don't want it anymore, I want my money back"
The third category is where morphs fall into, because they're expensive and "rare".
So, judging by the pictures, and the circumstance under which you acquired it(They thought it was a burmese python. So - yeah, you get my drift.) you have a very pretty normal. No one would buy a ball python morph, and then down the line think it's a completely different species and give it away.
However, your snake is very pretty.

it was not a normal person. he told boafanatic that it was a burmese and boafanatic thought he was getting a burm till he seen the snake.
