ok, I have another question.....
are there any other types of short tailed pythons besides bloods and borneo?
i am starting to become amazed by these guys a lot and would love to find out as much as i can.

Only 3 species:
Python brongersmai (Red, Orange, Yellow, etc, Bloods)
Python breitensteini (Borneo short-tails)
Python curtus (Sumatran short-tails)
Remember, all Bloods are Short-tails, but not all Short-tails are Bloods

Nope, just the three - Red bloods (P.brongersmai) Black bloods (P.curtus), and Borneo short tails (P.breitensteini). They are awesome snakes. I miss my Borneo.

If you are really interested in learning as much as possible about these wonderful snakes, join bloodpythons.com. Great forums, great people and some of the best breeders in the country post there. Also, there will be a blood python symposium at Daytona this year.
