While I was searching through a Spanish reptile webpage I found three new pictures (which leads me to believe this has happened recently, although I could be wrong). I don't think it's the ARP that bigred's posted about, the guy says it's a retic, and as far as I can tell it's not an ARP, I believe it is a reticulated python. Does anyone know if I can legally post the pics from another webpage or should I just link to them?

if you don't know the person or have permission, I would just do a link.

Here goes then. There are 3 different photos, the first is "Pitón reticulada se come a un chico (Emilio Tenorio)", the second "Pitón reticulada se come a un chico 2(Emilio Tenorio)", and the last "Extracción del chico de la pitón reticulada (Emilio Tenorio)"

If this doesn't work then go to this webpage: www.reptilista.com
On the top menu click "Galeria de fotos", that's where you can find them at the moment but these are just the recent posts, so if they're not there, click under "Categorias", "Serpientes", "pitones".

I'll translate the description under the photos for you, although they are pretty self-explanatory.
The first: "An enormous reticulated python captured by some natives after the disappearance of a boy who has been swallowed by the snake".
Second: "Another image of the reticulated python".
Last: "Here we can observe the dead boy after cutting open the enormous snake's stomach; amazing!"

Yep its a retic, seperate issue. Well i think below the Equator they are heading into summer and the snakes are looking to put on wieght. Just someone inthe wrong place at the right time. Looks like a fairly large retic too, shame it had to die. Of course its a shame the kid had to be eaten, but when you live in that area you have to know the dangers of the rainforests.

The series of pics is an urban legend that's been making the rounds on the internet for several years now. The photos are staged, and no human was eaten.

Glad they're fakes! Although the retic being killed is probably right.
I thought it was a little strange that I saw those pics without having read anything about it on RTB!
Sorry about that then, I didn't know they were fakes. What do people want to accomplish with these fake pics? Make people fear snakes more than they do already? Shame on them.
