I was thinking back to years ago when I owned a BP. He would sit in my lap raise his head and stare at my face, maybe 5 inches from my nose. 5 inches really isnt that far when its a snake in your face. :P It was really unnerving the first time he did it, but he did it so often and stayed there so long without ever striking that I got used to it. I knew that when i got him out of the cage that if I sat down on the couch that with in minutes he would be in position. I am wondering now, what the heck was he doing?

beats me i guess he just liked you.....my red tail will grab hold of the top of my shirt and sit on my shoulder, did it last night for over an hour...

The "cobra" stance (that's what we call it) is the "pay attention to me" move here. One of our males likes to have his chin scratched the other just likes to be played with. They both do it...

Yep, lol, Boaz, rtb, will do the same thing if I sit at the computer and not pay attention to him while he is out. He first tries to explore everything and won't sit still, then when he finally settles down he takes the attitude, "well, if I am just going to be sitting here you better pay attention to me." If I keep ignoring him, he'll get up in my face like that and eventually even come close enough that he flicks me with his tongue at my eyes. Once I pay attention to him, he chills out.

Kobi (BP) does that too. If I don't pay attention to her she gets about 3" away from my face and yawns (too cute), then starts knocking things off my desk if I don't give her a chin scratch or a cheek rub. She's such a funny little girl

Absolutly adorable.

The first time my beau saw her get in my face like that he got a real scared look on his face...then she yawned and I thought he was going to faint lol. Definitely a priceless moment

My Dumeril's Boa is so much of a showoff. he wraps around my ponytail. (if placed high up on my head, so that it will support him.) And then he puts his head on top of mine, but only long enough to get me to think he is happy. Then he comes down and flicks my face incessantly with his tongue until I pay attention to him.
